| | Upgrades From vFSupport (19th Mar 08 at 7:37am) | | Posted by Ross on vForums Support : Something a lot of forums have been waiting for Cool Smiley
There is now an "Email All Members" feature in your admin panels. Unfortunately, the title is a little misleading. It will only email those members who a) choose to receive forum emails b) have validated their email address
However, any members who register from now on will be asked if they want to receive forum emails during the registration process. Also, users who have a valid email but have not modified their profile recently will be given the option of receiving forum emails the next time they login. Hopefully these two things will enable you to make use of the email all members feature.
I did say there were other updates though and there's actually quite a few minor ones. I won't go into too much detail about them but... Pending Members - The option to require staff approval of all members can be enabled via the forum settings. Forum Smilies - A built in system can be used to add extra smilies to your forum. You get to specify what code makes it appear, the URL of the smiley and if it should be listed with the other smilies or not. Disable Registrations - If you want a private forum then this can disable anyone apart from staff from registering new accounts. Require Email Validation - You can stop members from logging in until they have validated their email address. | | Back to Top - Link to Post |
